Trinity’s PTL has been extremely busy since the beginning of the school year. In September, we collected orders for Taffy Apples and had a great response with 84 cases ordered. Thank you to everyone who placed an order.
Wrapping Paper
At the beginning of October the students were busy selling wrapping paper and candy from Innisbrook. They collected orders totaling over $4200. The delivery for these items is set for November 24th. It is still not too late to order things online. Simply go to www.innisbrook.com and use our school code #112512 and we will receive 40% credit from any orders. There is still time to get things for Christmas.
Grandparents’ Day
On Thursday, October 23rd, we set a record with 94 grandparents attending our Grandparents’ Day celebration. The grandparents enjoyed visiting the classrooms and participating in various activities planned with each individual class. Then they enjoyed a homemade lunch in the gym with all the students that were provided by PTL. Each grandparent received a photo picture and a sweet treat to take home. We look forward to an even bigger crowd next year!
Cookie Dough
During the first two weeks of November (3-14th) the students will be selling cookie dough/caramel corn just in time for Christmas. There are 12 different flavors of cookie dough: Chocolate chunk, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, Chocolate Chunk Pecan, Snickerdoodle (cinnamon), M&M Candy, Double Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Chewy coconut Pecan, Mint Double Chocolate and NEW Lemon Drop.
Each cookie dough CUBE sells for $11.00 and makes between 42-60 cookies. All you have to do is spoon and bake. The dough is delivered fresh – made to order – and keeps 10-14 days in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer.
There are four flavors of Popcorn available: Buttery Caramel, Chicago Style (Blend of Cheddar Cheese and Caramel) & Chocolate Delight (caramel corn drizzled with both white chocolate & chocolate) and Buttery Caramel with Peanuts.
There are also available the Lavalicious Fudge Cakes that come 5 per container. The center melts in your mouth when microwaved. These are a chocolate lover’s delight! If you are interested in ordering any of these items you can contact Michele Geaschel or Janice Barnacle. Delivery of the cookie dough will be Thursday, December 4th.
PTL Meeting
Our next PTL meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm in the school and everyone is invited.
Ladies Nite Out
The PTL will be hosting a special evening for all the ladies to come to Eye For Style in Burr Ridge for an evening of shopping. This will take place on Friday, December 12th from 7-10 pm. Tickets are $10 and this will automatically make you eligible for raffles during the evening. On this same evening, Family Life is hosting Movie Night at the church, so dads can take the kids while mom has a night to herself. Watch the bulletins for more information.

Box Tops has also launched a great program with Barnes & Noble where you can purchase books and other items on-line and earn 6% for books and 3% for your other purchases to be directly given to our school. Check out all the great ways to support our school without even leaving the comfort of your own home. There are Box Tops collection boxes in the church narthex as well as in the school lobby. Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported this program and continue to save those Box Tops for our school! Our goal is $1400 for this school year and the monies raised are earmarked for items on the teacher’s wish lists. As the weather outside starts to change to cooler temperatures, and you are warming yourself with a nice hot cup of soup, remember to save the UPC code from the Campbell ’s soup label. If you visit their website, you can find other Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farm and V8 products that can be turned in for credit towards our school.
