There are some important items to consider:
1. There is a $25.00 nonrefundable registration fee that must accompany the completed registration form. Application is not complete until the fee is received in the school office.

2. Our enrollment policies ensure a place for returning students and their siblings only up to February 4th as long the registration fee is received in the school office. After February 4th, we will fill classes with new enrollees in the order that they arrive. The complete and updated enrollment policies are available from the principal’s office.

3. Please update your emergency contact information either though the school office or online through the FastDirect School Information System.

4. If you are a new family please take some time to read the "Trinity Lutheran School at a Glance" page regarding our philosophy, our achievement test summary, and our faculty.

5. If you are not a member of a congregation, and would consider Trinity as your church home, please contact the school office and one of the pastors or myself will get in touch with you.

6. The school calendar shows only the beginning and ending of school, days off, 11:30 dismissals and the like. A more complete calendar including important school events will be distributed in August.

7. Tuition and fees do not cover the entire cost of education at Trinity. Trinity Lutheran Congregation considers the school a mission of the church and contributes in excess of $150,000 per year for school expenses. The per pupil cost varies from year to year as enrollment varies but has averaged over $6500 a year the last several years.

If you have any questions, please email our school secretary, or you may email the principal, Mr. Landgrave. Also, please feel free to call, (708) 839-1444, or stop in.

School Information

One way that Trinity accomplishes its mission is through the Christian Day School. Our teachers share the Gospel of Christ every day while teaching elementary subjects for two-year-olds through eighth graders. The students include members of Trinity Lutheran Church, members of other Lutheran churches, and children from the surrounding communities. The school is fully accredited by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the Northern Illinois District, and fully recognized by the State of Illinois. In addition to a complete elementary course of study, extracurricular activities in speech, instrumental music and athletics are offered.

Student Body Makeup

Students include members of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as members of other Lutheran and non-Lutheran churches, and represent many different cultures. Members of all faiths are welcome! Families live in several different neighboring communities: Lemont, Darien, Woodridge, LaGrange, Hickory Hills, Justice, Palos area, Homer Glen, and more.

Trinity is compliance with IRS Revenue Procedure 75-50.

Trinity Lutheran School is proactive in preventing child sexual abuse. We have policies and procedures in place, which include screening, supervising and training workers, treating all reports seriously and confidentially, and reporting to and working with law enforcement authorities. These policies and procedures not only protect children but also protect all members of Trinity Lutheran Church. For a copy of the policy, please see Mr. Hammes in the school office.

School Supply List
Please contact the school office for a supply list for your child's class.

Gym Shoes
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 should have a pair of gym shoes AT SCHOOL to be used ONLY INDOORS for recess and physical education classes that are held in the gym. This should be a separate pair to be stored in the student’s locker that is NOT the pair used for everyday wear. The soles of these shoes should be white or gum colored. (If the shoes are dark-soled, yet marked with a scuff-proof label, the rubber is hard enough and will be acceptable on our gym floor.) In the lower grades, please make sure the pair of shoes your child brings is a pair that will NOT require the help of an adult to be put on.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CHILD’S SUPPLIES WITH PERMANENT MARKER WHEREVER POSSIBLE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR GYM UNIFORMS AND OTHER ARTICLES OF CLOTHING.
